What is the meaning of "ero" in Japanese?

Ero is short form of Eros (エロス).

This word appeared late in Japan. It seemed エロスcould only be read in academic writings. People have invented a hybrid adjective Eroi (エロい), denoting erotic. Ir became popular among civil.

Thus エロ can be noun and adjective.

If I only have a fire extinguisher to defend myself against some threat from people, should I spray them for max damage or just hit them with the fire extinguishers?
